Can someone show me how to get a line parallel and perpendicular to y-3=4/2 (x-6)? I just need to write it in slope intercept form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply both sides by 2(x-6) so2 (y-3)(x-6)=4 I think answer is 4 because the equation looks like a slope equation (y-y1)/(x-x1)=m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that a parallel or perpendicular line and how do I write that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

neither you need to have another line to compare to find if it is parallel they will have the same m and if perpendicular then -1/m
