Having trouble with this problem.

OpenStudy (shamil98):

y^2 = 4x^2 + 7 9(4x^2+7) +16x^2 = 323 36x^2 + 63 + 16x^2 = 323 52x^2 = 260 x^2 = 5 x = √5 just solve for y now.

OpenStudy (shamil98):

y^2 = 4(5) + 7 y^2 = 27 y = √27

OpenStudy (shamil98):

y = 3√3 forgot to simplify.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks that makes sense was solving the whole thing and putting it under a square root before I substituted

OpenStudy (shamil98):

lol, i thought that too, but why make it difficult

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be +/- both those answers to right?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

yes.

OpenStudy (shamil98):

wait, you'd have to verify that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought y would be the only one I would have to do +/- for but still keep getting it wrong
