What is the meaning of "dx" in indefinite integral?
\[\int\limits_{}^{} f(x)dx=F(x) + c\] My book says it is the variable of integration. What does that mean? Is it different from the dx in differentials which means delta x?
it's the same, change in x or delta x. It also indicates that f(x) is integrated with respect to x
Thanks :) Could you explain to me what is the difference of derivative and differential? I already know that the derivative is the slope of the line tangent to a point on a function. But I am having trouble explaining the meaning of differential.
@ash2326
@moongazer I have also superficial knowledge about this. Please refer this http://math.stackexchange.com/questions/23902/what-is-the-practical-difference-between-a-differential-and-a-derivative
ok, Thanks :) I'll read it
