Which of the following was not an economic problem in Germany after World War I? okay @skiller8860 could u help me with this :) Germany lost territory rich in coal and iron. Germany had to repay many loans to the United States. Germany had too much paper money Germany was supposed to pay reparations
Well first of all, let's point them out and then you tell me ;). 1. Early 1920s - Inflation, culminating in hyperinflation in 1923. The currency was stablized in 1923-24. 2. High reparations payments. 3. 1930-33 - Deflation and very high unemployment in the Great Depression. To sum it up, Germany had many problems such as they had to sign a contract called the "Treaty of Versailles" which meant they had to say they were responsible for starting the war they also had to give up half of their land , they had to sink all their battle ships, the size of their military was reduced to 100,000 men and finally Germany had to pay war reparations the the countries in the League of Nations. Germany also faced poverty due to the reparations. In order to pay off their large reparations payment they just printed more marks and this was a direct result of the inflation which was partial reason for the Great Depression that followed through out Europe and the US.
so i think the answer is a or c, cant figure out which one, but im leaning more on a
Germany also faced poverty due to the reparations KEYWORD: Reparations. Only one of the answers has it. In order to pay off their large reparations payment they just printed more marks and this was a direct result of the inflation which was partial reason for the Great Depression that followed through out Europe and the US. <--- Resparations once again.
@halorazer Feel free to give a second opinion, as-for that's my guess and answer. Two people answering, would definitely help define the correct answer :).
but is say dose not key word not, and in ur statement u didnt mention coal so that is why i think its a
Good point, however let's wait for @halorazer :) He can help conclude this. As-for I have to go eat. Good luck!
Well Germany was a country that was taking areas for resources. I am forgetting the word, but it involves the taking of areas for the expansion of a country and the supporting of their economy. It was prevalent in the World War 2 era. So it would make sense that A was actually true, so I would have to go with C. I recall that Germany had gone through a time of serious inflation, where the paper that the money was printed on was worth more than the money itself. My answer is C.
okay thanx for the help :)
