Probably, yes. We still cannot be 100% sure, but that was right around the time that insects began to diversify and split up, evolutionarily speaking. So, yes, it is highly likely there were butterflies in that time period.

But there is so much diversity genetically that it can be very hard to tell how far insects go back. if there was not then there would most likely be another that is very similar
