Braden improves his score with each practice quiz he takes. The number of incorrect answers can be represented by the expression 20 - 5n where n represents the number of practice quizzes he has taken. How many answers will he get incorrect after taking 2 practice quizzes?

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

just replace n with 2 :) so u will get that the answer is 20 - 5 * 2 which is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is 30 :D

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

10! :P

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

it was a different question last time LOL I know how u got 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What? Don't you need to subtract 5 from 20 and then you get 15. Then, you have to multiply 15*2 and you get 30 :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello?

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

nope :P I was sayings its 20 - 5 * 2 <--- using PEMDAS u start off with the multiplying, in other words, I'm saying its 20 - 10 :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! So, 5*2 = 10 . 20 - 10 = 10.

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I had no idea I had to use PEMDAS. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally :P

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

LOL no problem, it happens :)

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

just like for 30 - 2 * 5, u can mistake it for 28 * 5. I don't blame u, I have the same problems at times xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank for helping <3

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
