myininaya (myininaya):

The domain of a relation is all the x values that function can take. So if we have the relation {(3,4),(3,5),(6,7),(8,1)} Then the x's are 3,6,8 so this is our domain {3,6,8} The range of a relation is all the y values that function can be. Then the y's are 4,5,7,1 so this is our range {1,4,5,7} Now this relation I have here {(3,4),(3,5),(6,7),(8,1)} is not a function since there are two points that have an x equal but the y's are different. It is not a function if there are more than one points in the set that have the same x but different y.

myininaya (myininaya):

So looking at the fist one you want to give it show of listing the elements of the domain for your problem?

myininaya (myininaya):

shot*

myininaya (myininaya):

(x,y) the x is the first number in the pair the y is the second number in the pair just list me all the x values that this relation takes
