5+x>3 or 6x+1<-29 what is the solution?

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

In order to solve a inequation we have to make the right side a 0. \[5+x>3\] Let's treat it as a normal equation and extract -3 from both sides: \[2+x>0\] Now, let's make it equal zero: \[2+x=0\] And by extracting 2 from each side, we get: \[x=-2\] With that we can study it's sign, because the value we just found makes the whole equation equal to zero: |dw:1384142965135:dw| Now, we are asked for values greater than 3, so the answer is: \[(-2;\infty)\] Try applying the same process to the other inequality.
