Oops I meant to put a not b am I right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
its c
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Can you explain?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
start by changing the inequality to and equal sign for now so
y+0.5x=4
y=-0.5x+4
Now draw the line on an x-y plot. There are many ways of doing this.
Once your done you need to change the equal back to an inequality. The rule is it stays the same unless you divided by -1 somewhere in your calculations

the -0.5 says the graph has a negative slope which means it has decreasing y values from left to right
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the 4 shows the graph crosses the y-axis at y=4. then you find the graph that matches
OpenStudy (anonymous):
c = y > -0.5 + 4
Since y is greater isn't the line supposed to be shaded above not below?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you're right it should be a
OpenStudy (anonymous):
its a
