Since bleeding is prolonged for people with Hemophilia. Does that mean they have a longer chance of surviving when severely injured?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means they have a lesser chance of surviving, if that's what you're saying.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But if bleeding is prolonged, shouldn't it make sense if they have a higher chance of surviving because they wouldn't bleed out quickly like normal people would...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hemophilia lowers the body's ability to clot blood, which means you don't bleed slower, you just keep bleeding ... your body isn't able to stop the bleeding over time, like normal people can. So you would actually have a higher chance of bleeding out than normal people do.
