why does the resistance of a conductor rises with the rise in temperature?

OpenStudy (dan815):

because the molecules kinetic energy goes up as they are more agitated in higher temperature states, so it is harder to make these molecules go in the desired direction without inputting more force on it, that when they are less agitated with less of their own kinetic energy

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

the rise of temperature what will result in case of conductor -- dilatation - yes ? so what mean this again ? - this is the key of your question
