Simplify: √9 / 6√9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It sounds like to me, you would just simplify the square roots. Both of the square root of 9's=3. So your problem becomes 3/6*3. Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, so I'm going to say, √9^1/3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do what? Do you have choices, or is this a fill in the blanks?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sqare roots would disappear, becasue the square root of nine, is 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have choices. They are: 9^-1/2 9^1/3 9^1/2 9^-1/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't exactly know how to simlify it like this, as I would use the square root and then sixth root, or whatever it's called, and divide those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, gosh. I read your problem wrong. :p Poop. My bad. Hang on. Is this Algerba 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So your promlem was the square root of nine, divided by the sixth root of 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No worries! And yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I totally just cheated, but I thnk the answer is 9^1/3. If you put your problem in a calculator, it equals 2.08008... Then if you put all of your choices in the calculator, 9^1/3 comes out to the same thing. (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome, thank you so much! I just used my calculator and got the same thing, thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha. No problem! God bless you! :D
