Which set is closed under the operation multiplication? A. {1, 2, 3} B. {0, 1} C. {0, 1, 2} D. {1, 2}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A set is closed under multiplication if you take any two members of the set and multiply them, the product will be in the set. You can even take a member and multiply it by itself. So, {2,4} is not closed under multiplication because 2 x 4 = 8, and 8 is not inside that set {2,4}.

if I understood that correctly then after looking at the answers provided I don't see one that fit's what you said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Easyaspi314 are you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh no? what about choice B, {0,1}?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is my last question and it's the most important

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0 x 0 = 0 0 x 1 = 0 1 x 1 = 1 0 x 0 = 0
