Can someone please show me how to write a polynomial function in standard form when you are given zeros. I just don't understand the process. For example, they give me the zeros: 1, 2, -2, and -3.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

subtract x from each root, and then multiply all the roots together

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

Remember how these functions work: Zeros (solutions to the function) are values that satisfies the function (i.e makes the LHS zero). For this, we need to build a function that looks like thingsthingsthings = 0. In this case, x - 1 or x - 2 or x + 2 or x + 3 = 0. Also, remember that anything multiplied by 0 makes the whole expression 0. These should be enough hints for now.
