I am so confused on this one and I'm struggling on this one? The picture is pretty much the question? http://oi46.tinypic.com/2r5yq3a.jpg
do you know the formula to find the distance between 2 points ?
Yes, I do, but I'm unsure on how that will help to find the perimeter.
the perimeter is the sum of the lengths of all 3 sides so you need to find three lengths. then add them up
use the pythagorean therom; a^2+b^2=c^2
4+4+sqrt(3)
srt(32)
they made a mistake when they put b's coordinates in, it should be -3 not 3 xD
btw, there is a typo in point B, it is at (-3,2) (NOT (3,2) as shown)
I think I have the wrong formula. How do I plug three of them in when the formula is only made for 2 set of points. & Yes I know there is a typo. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.
of course, you can just count how many "steps" it takes to move from point B to point C, which is easier than using the distance formula same for the distance from point B to point A
you get 17.21 as your answer when you add the sides up.
well actually 17.2111025509 but it said round to the nearest 100th
I didn't really want the answer @trantom I just wanted help on how to solve it. Thank you Phi, I think I've got it. I really appreciate it. :)
I told you the pythagorean therom!
thats how you solve it!
