x=-1/3

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

to solve for x for 3x + 6 = 4 - 3x you want to get x alone on one side -6 -6 3x = 4 - 6 - 3x then simplify and add 3x to both sides +3x +3x 6x = -2 then divide both sides by 6 x = -2/6 (which can be simplified) feel free to ask if you don't understand something I did :)

3x+6 = 4-3x 6x=-2 x=-2/6 x=-1/3
