True or False? Supplementary interior angles on the same side of a transversal mean that lines are perpendicular. False? I just can't picture it!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

draw two parallel lines, and a transversal cutting them

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You are correct. It is false, but not being able to picture it is a bad reason. As ganeshie8 is saying, if you have 2 parallel lines and a transversal line like this |dw:1384405071632:dw| then the same side interior angles (marked in the drawing) will be supplementary. So think backwards: if you have two same side interior angles, then the two lines (that aren't the transversal) will be parallel and NOT perpendicular.

Okay thanks for drawing the picture. Lol I guess that was a really bad reason, Now that i think about it XD Thanks!
