does anyone know ??

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

for some reason, all the options look correct to me :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:/

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/geometry/GP4/Ltriangles.htm so only AAA and SSA wouldn't have made them congruent... but that wouldn't rule any out from the given options...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its such a helpful website

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it doesn't really explain this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im confused

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

oh wait, they gave you two sides so you'll need an SSS or SAS to make it congruent so D

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

because those two are the only postulates that include at least two sides of the triangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

do you get it? or do you want me to break it down for you? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

break it down please sorry for wasting ur time

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

It's alright :) so they gave you two sides of each triangle right? and now they want you to find a way to make the two triangles equal to each other so out of the ways to prove that two triangles are equal to each other: SSS SAS ASA AAS only SSS and SAS already include the fact that you have two sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

so if SSS and SAS is how you want to make the triangles equal then out of the given options you would add a side that is congruent or an angle that is congruent so it would be D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :D
