11 How does London’s choice to use Alaska as a setting shape Buck’s character? illustrating just how determined Buck was in searching for gold forcing him into live or die survival situations for the first time encouraging him to partner with Dolly and start a new pack pushing him to go against his dog nature and imitate other animals 12 Buck’s abduction from his home in California is an example of dialect theme point of view rising action

11: Buck was taken from his home where he lived in comfort to the Alaskan wilderness, so I'm going to say that it's the one about "forcing him into live or die survival situations for the first time" because prior to being stolen, he'd never had to fight for his life. 12: Rising action, because that's where the conflict is introduced and the story kicks off. Point of view is the perspective it's told from, theme is an over-arching idea evident in the story, and dialect is a way of speaking (think Jim in Huck Finn). So rising action is the only choice it could possibly be.
