It is a waste of time arguing with you, so you can either answer my question, which I am now here to see, or you can move onto another persons question. THANKS!

Can someone please just answer my question?
The Articles of Confederation was America's first form of government. The Constitution came afterwards as a result of the problems of the Articles. The articles were weak because they gave most of the power to the states and very little to the Federal government. Because of this the United States were basically a loose alliance of the states. The Constitution gave more power to the Federal government and is the oldest written government still in use.
The Articles of Confederation were the founding fathers first attempt at a plan of government. They gave much more power to the states than to the U.S. government. Under them, the U.S govt couldn't regulate commerce (trade) and couldn't tax the states. Basically they couldn't do anything. The U.S. govt could make decisions, but had no power to enforce their decisions or make the states do anything. Shay's rebellion, where a bunch of poor farmers revolted because of debts, kind of showed how ineffective the A of C were, since there was really no national army to handle the rebellion. The Constitution was attempt #2. It created a method of sharing power between the states and national govt called federalism, which is a huge topic unto itself. To cliff-notes it, theoretically the power is divided equally between state and national govt. Of course, the Constitution is HUGE and has a ton of stuff in it, but that's the main compare/contrast between the two
is tht good enough
