Ask your question, @Goomblet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

file not found >:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We can teach you how to do functions, and how is it translated, shifted or sketched to the factor of a. OK, @Goomblet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay! :,)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, lets start from a regular function. \[f(x)=x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you sketch the function to the factor of (lets say) 5, it will look taller, so you will rewrite it as \[f(x)=3x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you shift the function from (lets say) \[f(x)=5x\] To the left \[f(x)=5(x+5)\] To the right\[f(x)=5(x-5)\] Down\[f(x)=5(x) +5\] put the -5 outside the parenthesis of the x. Up\[f(x)=5(x)+5\] add 5 outside the parenthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So far so good?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah.. THis is gunna take forever though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk I just need help raising my grade.. and showing the work.. I just need to get this out of the way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you understand how to shift the functions, and sketch to the scale?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kinda yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, lets do couple examples together. OK?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Suppose a parabola has vertex (–4, 7) and also passes through the point (–3, 8). Write the equation of the parabola in vertex form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help with this kinda stuff^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you post the questions here, b/c looking there ans =d back, is kind of annoying a little?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait what?

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

lol i think he means can u copy and paste the problems here because its annoying going back and forth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Going back and forth where?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just put a question in here.. ?
