someone please help.. i don't understand. >_<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you got it right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm using the right formula but my answer is not in any of the choices I just guessed that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its pie r squared right for the circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry 2 pie r squared + 2 pie r h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

162 pie + 36 pie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where did you get 36? Cause i got 113.04

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 pie r squared= 162 pie 2(h) times 9(r) = 18 18 times 2(in the formula)= 36 pie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm so confused, cause i thought the formula is 2 pied r h for the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why did I get 113.04?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u multiplied the pie to 36.. you don't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you don't? why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are like terms with both pie so you don't have too. If the first number didn't have the pie, then you have to multiply the pie to 36 for the second to add to the first one. Get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really.. i'll give you another example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so thats pied 8 squared + pied (15)(8) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SA=pie r s + pie r squared SA=pie815+pie 8 squared SA=120 pie + 64pie SA=184 pie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah thank you
