ill give a medal if someone would help me

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

It's easier to help if you post a problem or question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sum of a number and two-ninths is one and one-third. What is the number? one-ninth negative one-ninth one and one ninth negative one and one ninth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the equation would be X+2/9=1/3

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Okay, so think about it. "Sum" means addition. "A number" means a variable. two-ninths is 2 over 9 (2/9). and "is" would be "=" so this is the question:\[n+\frac{ 2 }{ 9 }=1\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\]Do you know how to solve for "n"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solving for X

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

@Nuggetthegreat you are correct, but you forgot to add the 1 AND 1/3. ;]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh 1 and 1/3 so it would be X+2/9=1_1/3 xD

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Yeah. (・ェ-)

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Do you know how to solve for this @i_need_help123 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sum of a number and two-ninths is one and one-third. What is the number? one-ninth negative one-ninth one and one ninth negative one and one ninth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nuggetthegreat haha you beat me to it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's a cheat for you since 2/9 is less than 1/3. What plus 2/9 equals 1/3? then add 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@annie_r_u_otay we are having a contest today for answers xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha I know! its funny! x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is anyone goin 2 help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm helping i even gave you a super easy way to solve it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me what you think it is and we will go from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@i_need_help123 What your answer? (so i can check it and tell you whats right)
