MEDAL!!! :j A child lifts a 5.0-newton toy to a height of 0.50 meters. How much work is done on the toy?

Work is represented as the amount of force that is put out through a certain displacement. The displacement here is the in y-direction or up and down. You have the force (which was expressed in Newtons) and then you have the amount of vertical displacement (expressed in meters) Now plug it into the equation: \[Work = (Force)(Displacement)\]or we could short-hand it by using letters:\[W= (F)(d_{y})\]
