tnx can u explain a bit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11 apples times 2 = 22, 22 melons, to find oranges we do 22-12 = 10 oranges, so 10 oranges plus 22 melons, plus 11 apples equal 43 fruits

thank you sir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says he bought twice as many melons as apples. There are 11 apples, so 11 times 2 = 22, it says that he bought 12 more melons than oranges, so we do 22-12 which is 10 oranges. 10+11+22 = 43
