If you need help graphing something, go to graphsketch.com, that site will graph anything for you!
Really? Wow thanks!
what is the question ?
You should re-do the diver question.
Hi
I'm sorry, what do you mean?
also the last one. I mean you should re-do them, because they are not correct. for the diver, she starts at 0 and goes to 50 ft below sea level (which is up on this graph... which is not intuitive ). She does not go to 50 in 0 time... it takes 10 minutes, so the line slants from 0,0 to 10 mins, 50 ft (below sea level)
Oh yeah! Hold on one second... I'll attach something else
Thank you!
those were the other options
Lol that was a tricky question!
Like 50 feet below sea level means lower than 10 feet below sea level! And the graph counts it up
***Because below sea level means higher! *** that is what I meant by "not intuitive" without thinking about it, you would assume down is deeper. But on this graph, up is deeper.
Lol! And I learned a new vocab word too! "intuitive" better put that on my New Words list :)
If you ever have to give a talk and use a graph, doing it this way is a good way to confuse everybody... they will think you are brilliant because they won't understand what is going on... or they will think you are dumb for putting together such a lousy graph.
LOL! :D Mind helping me with a few more? I'll be on the lookout for tricks this time :)
It'll take a few minutes for me to get organized, so i'll message you when I do :)
Every Question is on a separate page
Here are my answer guesses... 1.) A 2.) A 3.) B 4.) A 5.) C
I really have 0 idea what I'm doing, I kinda did a combination between a random guess and an educated guess
you should make each question a new post... these get too long otherwise. most of the equations are y = m x + b where m is a number and b is a number. the b means look for a red dot on the y-axis at that value m is the slope. write m as a fraction. If m is a whole number, write it as a number over 1) if m is negative, put the minus sign on the top number of the fraction (the numerator) the top number is how far to go up. (if negative, go down). the bottom number is how far to go to the right).
Yes, good thinking. I think I will do that next time. What you said makes sense to me so far
See http://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra/linear-equations-and-inequalitie/graphing-slope-intercept/v/graphing-a-line-in-slope-intercept-form for a very short video on this
Great! I love khan!
Thank you for your help! :)
-watching video-
but your answers look good (unless I got confused flipping between the graphs...)
Wow! That video was awesome!!!! :D And thank you for checking my answers! Yes, I understand how flipping through it could easily get confusing!
Thank you very much :)
