How do you find the slope of a function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I find the slope of this: f(x) = 2x - 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what kind of function? on a line you will use the form y=mx+b where y=f(x) and one a function with a curve you can take the derivative of any certain point to find the slope of the tangent at that point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m=slope y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is the slope of the one that I asked 2? @lonnie455rich

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) is just like the y in y=mx+b so I would rewrite it with the y and solve it. slope, 2 y intercept, -3
