Make a table using points along the graphed linear function. Then, determine the correct function. y is three less than x y is three more than x y is three times x y is negative 3 times x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is actually really easy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think something is missing from your question or chart though. Because like it doesn't say which is x or which is y

OpenStudy (ttp):

Nope nothing's missing :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x axis is always the line that goes from left to right the y axis is always the line that goes from north to south

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so are these possibilities y is three less than x y is three more than x y is three times x y is negative 3 times x

OpenStudy (ttp):

Yea :)

OpenStudy (ttp):

Can you help, Or is i too hard? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can help... its not hard.... you possibilities are just in word form... first trun them to standard form

OpenStudy (ttp):

Which do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y is three less than x: y=x-3 y is three more than x: y=x+3 y is three times x: y=3x y is negative 3 times x: y=-3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is the slope... and the -/+ 3 would be the y-intersect..... if you look at your grape the line intersect on the y-axes 0 .... look at the graph now.... the slope is up 3 over 1... and the slope is negative

OpenStudy (ttp):

So D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes :)

OpenStudy (ttp):

Thank you :) Can you help me with a couple more? If not that's ok :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can

OpenStudy (ttp):

Ok :) Identify the function to match the table.Identify the function to match the table. y=1/4 X+6 y=1/2 X+5 y=1/2 X-5 y= 1/2 X+3

OpenStudy (ttp):

Can you do it? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its easy draw a graph

OpenStudy (ttp):

Could you help me ? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1385136367576:dw| take this and graph the points i gave you

OpenStudy (ttp):

I think it's D ?

OpenStudy (ttp):

@Krissy1997

OpenStudy (ttp):

Am i wrong?
