A particle moves from coordinates (0, 3) to coordinates (1, 8). Assuming that the path of the particle is linear, what is the equation of the path?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is linear you could put it in a few different equations but the easiest way would be slope intercept form. y=mx+b first you want to find the slope of the line. so use the slope formula keeping in mind m=rise/run draw a graph in the coordinate plane to start out. that way you get a good visual
