Hey i need to see what this looks like worked out ? Completely factor 30y^3 - 6y^2 +12y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, factor out the gcf... hint: it's not 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 ? @pgpilot326

OpenStudy (anonymous):

almost... look again. hint: it's not a number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean, what's left.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean whats left ? @pgpilot326

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if we factor out 6, we get \[6(5y^3-y^2+2y)\] right? But what does each term in the parentheses have in common still?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y^2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well no , just y ? @pgpilot326

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correctamundo! so rewrite after you factor out 6y...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eh i sorta get it , but im not getting how to work it out . thanks anyway.. @pgpilot326

OpenStudy (anonymous):
