How do you find the x and y intercepts of the equation y=x^2+2x-80, and how would I write it in graphing form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have a graphing calculator? One of those would be a good start!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not aloud to use those

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the intercepts of the x and y axis take the equation: y=x^2+2x-80 set y equal to 0, and solve for x. this will give you the x-intercepts now, set x equal to zero, and solve for y. this will give you the y-intercept

I love you omg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do I put it in graphing form though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In general, quadratic equations form are parabola's. Yours looks like this: |dw:1385251691179:dw|
