f(x,y)=4(x^2)+9(y^2) How to check whether it's bounded or not ?

OpenStudy (rajat97):

i just have a rough idea i think that you should check that this function is true or it does not give imaginary value for any x or y and this gives a real number as the output for all real values of x and y so it may not be a bounded function hope this helps you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you exactly mean by 'bounded'?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are multiple ways of interpreting it were you given bounds for x and y?

OpenStudy (rajat97):

@Rjun95 i mean that the values of x and y can only belong to a particular interval of numbers for example, x^2-4>0 for x to be real, it should belong to the interval(-infinity to -2)union(2 to infinity)
