WILL GIVE MEDAL ~ AND FAN! Why is the fertile crescent important in history to Mesopotamia? I have to write a paragraph about this and I need help?
When the two rivers flood (Euphrates & Tigris) it makes the soil rich and soft and it makes the crops grow better. I hope that helps!Fertile crescent attracted Sumerians because of their fertile soil. It contained one plain known as Mesopotamia, meaning in Greek "land between the rivers''. make sense? and btw love your profile pic.. Who Dat Nation all the way!
why its important to civilizations Fertile soil was created along the Nile, Tigris, Euphrates, and Indus River valleys. The success of farming meant stable population growth, which was necessary for societies and civilizations to develop. Areas without fertile soil could not sustain populations of humans and food animals in one location over many centuries.
Thank you! @LadyM
No problem
Is this a good paragraph? Why the Fertile Crescent is important in the history of Mesopotamia The Fertile Crescent is important in the history of Mesopotamia because it led humans to the start of farming. The Euphrates and Tigris Rivers flooded and after the water washed away, it left rich soil - which led to the development of farming. Once people started farming, they didn’t have to hunt-and-gather anymore. Not everyone had to farm because one or two farms grew enough food - which meant that other people could start practicing different kinds of specializations. Such as, pottery. They also began to development villages and communities, make more sophisticated tools, and introduce trade routes. If this wouldn’t of happened, people would still be hunter-gatherers today. That is why he Fertile Crescent is important in history.
