Okay, geometry help, only 2 questions left, medal to The one who helps me the most

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@austinL

OpenStudy (austinl):

Let's see the question! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (austinl):

I think you would find the centroid and that would be equidistant from all gates.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to do that though?

OpenStudy (austinl):

Well, there is no way to actually do it with this problem... You can kinda show it in a picture though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One more question?

OpenStudy (austinl):

I think this is what it would look like.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That makes sense

OpenStudy (austinl):

Kinda badly drawn but you get the idea. Now what was your second question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, one left.

OpenStudy (austinl):

Okay... I know how to do this... but it is kinda long and drawn out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, If it's really long, I can just tell my teacher that I don't understand it....Then my teacher will help me....if you want

OpenStudy (austinl):

You can find the length of ED, you know DF. You can then use trig to find EF, and then double it for EA. Then you can use trig to find AC...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ekkkkkkkk trig? as in trigonometry?

OpenStudy (austinl):

Yep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im only a sophmore.....Geometry hates me lol

OpenStudy (austinl):

Well, perhaps just ask for help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will :) thank you :)

OpenStudy (austinl):

You are very welcome!

OpenStudy (phi):

Do you know this theorem http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/geometry/GP10/MidLineL.htm ?

OpenStudy (phi):

the line FD is a Mid-Segment. It is parallel to the AC side that means you know how long the AC side is.

OpenStudy (phi):

Your problem is like example 1 in the link. (But you might want to turn your triangle so it matches the picture in example 1)
