find the reference angle theta= 5pi/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

got a Unit Circle around?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, the reference angle is the angle makes with the x-axis so |dw:1385600127885:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 135 or 45?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

45 or \(\bf \cfrac{\pi}{4}\)

OpenStudy (btaylor):

to add to @jdoe0001, it is the angle between 0 and 90 (or, in radians, 0 and pi/4) that has the same angle measure to the horizontal axis. It would be 45.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
