What is the value of tan0 in the unit circle below?

OpenStudy (theslytherinhelper):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan0 always equals 0

OpenStudy (theslytherinhelper):

OpenStudy (theslytherinhelper):

0 isn't a choice :/

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the y value is sin and the x value is cos and tan = sin/cos

OpenStudy (theslytherinhelper):

So the answer would be A?

OpenStudy (theslytherinhelper):

I know for sure it's not C or D

OpenStudy (theslytherinhelper):

Wait hold up the answer is D my bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you put is correct. sqrt(3)/3 is correct because as campbell said, tan=sin/cos and the y value is sin and the x is cos So we get the tan of that angle would be (1/2)/(sqrt(3)/2) This would simplify to (1/2)(2/sqrt(3)) this gives us 1/sqrt(3) Since you can't leave a radical in the denominator, we have to multiply the answer above by (sqrt(3)/sqrt(3)) (which equals 1) we then get (sqrt(3))/3 as the answer. |dw:1385851031979:dw| |dw:1385851093295:dw|
