OpenStudy (idku):

What do I do when no one comes to answer my question?

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

SIMPLY TAG THEM LIKE THIS @CGGURUMANJUNATH

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

@IDKU

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

DO U HAVE A Q WITH U RIGHT NOW ? @idku

OpenStudy (idku):

http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Economics%20-%20Financial%20Markets Also, my scores are still in red, and tagging me didn't work.

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Since mentions are broken, you can simply post the link to your question in an active chat such as the math chat.

OpenStudy (blues):

You can also be patient. Some groups have fewer users and a slower pace - because there are fewer tutors - than the math group. The nature of the question also affects who answers it - the more basic the question, the more people can help you with it. Where as the more technical and complicated the question, the fewer tutors can help with it. If you think the question is within the scope or expertise of a certain member, for whatever reason, by all means attract their attention to it. The @ symbol and then that user's name works. As does sending them a link to your question through the private message system.

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

Patience ~ Tagging ~ Posting the link in the Math's section ~ Any will do! You could even message people ya know for help! :D

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

I've been tagged by many people today ~ So I think OS is going back to normal.......for now LOL Good luck!

thomaster (thomaster):

Go to the math chat (since 90% of the chatting users are in the math chat), say hi to everyone, ask if anyone is good at [subject], if someone replies to that you can ask them if they could possibly take a look at your question and then post the link to your question. What \(\bf\color{red}{\underline{NOT}}\) to do: Post questions like these: - HEEEELPP MEDAL & FANNN!!!!!! (usually ignored if you use this as question title) - Anyone in connections biology b?? (indication that you're trying to find someone to give you answers) Spamming your question link in the chat pods Tag thousands of users Yell at people when they refuse to help you.

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

I couldn't have said it better LOL

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Yell at people when they refuse to help you. That's happened to me a couple of times.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, sadly enough @thomaster is right about that. If we see that, we usually tend to avoid those. Also if you see that there is activity, you can bump you're question so that it goes to the top where we can see it.

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

I usually post the link to my question in the subject you posted the question in, Math, and English chats. Sometimes I will post the link in the Biology chat too when it is a bit busier.

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

I totally agree. I've been yelled at before, and all I'm doing is helping them figure out the answer. People seem to get angry with me when I refuse to just "give" them the answer. I know that OS values the learning process, so I make sure I "teach", and not just "give" them the answers. :D Anyone else having the same problem?

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

That has happened to me SO many times, and then the person is like, oh im so sorry im just really behind. thats their excuse all the time, but I continue to do what I do.

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

yeah! or "I gtg soon, so I need the answer like RIGHT NOW!" I heard that one too many times. ' And don't forget, after you finish explaining, you hear, "So the answer was _____?" When I hear that, I KNOW they didn't read my explanation, they just wanted the answer!!!

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

Exactly!
