-5x+y=35 3x+2y=-21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve it using simultaneous equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply the first equation by 3 and the second by 5. After that add those two equations so you can cancel out the x term and get a value for y term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya but I need u need u to show me and explain to me?.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure that the question is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you trying to solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yaa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well what you can do is multiply the first equation by two so that the two ys can be eleminated.... -10x+2y=70 minus 3x+2y=-21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-13x=91

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide each side by -13 x=-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now you have to find y so plug x into one of the equations... 3(-7)+2y=-21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 21 to each side 2y=0 divide each by 2 y=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check your work to make sure its right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3(-7)+2(0)=-21 -21=-21 so its correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gtg so if you have any qs ask em now

OpenStudy (amigatour):
