whats a constant term and an algebraic term? I have to find whats in my problem but i cant remember what they are and the internet wont explain it clear enough for me
The Constant Term in an expression or equation has a fixed value and does not contain variables. The constant term in the equation 6x2 - 3x + 5 is 5.
a constant term is just a number like 3,56, 8.24 whereas a variable has letter in it like, x, y , 10x, xy
oohohhhhhh ok. But your example wouldn't be a constant because it has variables. ty hartnn
what about algebraic terms?
algebraic term is a very general stuff many many things include in it, entire algebra :P constants , variables, expressions, equations can all be algebraic
kay thx
welcome ^_^
Which description best represents the expression 8 • x + 1? 1 algebraic term, 1 constant term 2 variable terms, 1 constant term 3 terms, 2 numerical terms 2 terms, 2 algebraic terms now im confused
so, a constant is an algebraic term, a variable is also an algebraic term so how many algebraic term you can see there ?
ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Note : 8x is considered as one single term
oh ya...
ok, i think they are considering constant term as NOT an algebraic term
