OpenStudy (sarahezzmck):

i would help you Kira but i have not clue...:( i'm sorry...@mathstudent55 can u help her???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for trying though sarah

OpenStudy (sarahezzmck):

i would get @RyGuy , @kewlgeek555, or @Jacobbenvenutty bc they always help me with my math but they aren't on :( well Ryan doesnt but maybe he could help. And no problem :)

OpenStudy (sarahezzmck):

i hate when people don't reply to try and help nor view them...its like ...uhhh??? :/

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

Im here!!

OpenStudy (sarahezzmck):

yay!! :D can u help with this problem??

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

sure just give me a sec to read it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! thank you !

OpenStudy (sarahezzmck):

@Jacobbenvenutty is pretty amazing with math help :) lol

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

So since I dont want to give you the answer im going to show you how to do it this way you learn for later problems. For this one, they give you a point (x1, y1) and a slope m, and have you plug it into this formula: y – y1 = m(x – x1) So here is a question involving the point slope formula (got it online): " Find the equation of the straight line that has slope m = 4 and passes through the point (–1, –6)." The question has given you m = 4, x1 = –1, and y1 = –6. I'll plug these values into the point-slope form, and solve for "y=": y – y1 = m(x – x1) y – (–6) = (4)(x – (–1)) y + 6 = 4(x + 1) y + 6 = 4x + 4 y = 4x + 4 – 6 y = 4x – 2 So basically do the same thing here but plug in your numbers! (sorry for long answer)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow thats amazing ! thank you so much!

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

No problem. Do you understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i get it thank you so much

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

K im at work right now so ill come back later to see if you get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys i got it!!!!

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

Just a little tip... You can go to Mathway.com and type your equations there if noone is on this website to help And great job!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks i will check the website out thank you!

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

Once again glad to help

OpenStudy (sarahezzmck):

lol, anytime u need help, i can get someone for ya! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:] thanks sarah
