Which line from this excerpt from "Totally like whatever, you know?" demonstrates the poet's ability to apply proper use of syntax? "It's like what I've heard? I have nothing personally invested in my own opinions, okay? I'm just inviting you to join me in my uncertainty? What has happened to our conviction? Where are the limbs out on which we once walked?" It's like what I've heard? I have nothing personally invested in my own opinions, okay? I'm just inviting you to join me in my uncertainty? What has happened to our conviction?

Sorry for the late response! Having problems with the system >.< Syntax ~ the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language. Syntax is the way you word a sentence to convey your meaning. You could change the whole meaning of a sentence by switching two key parts around ~ Examples: Did you see my keys? Are you going to finish your dessert? Why did you put makeup on the dog? Where are you going this time of night? What is the distance from the Earth to the sun? How many electrons are in a helium atom? May I see the invitation? Would you like to visit Hawaii?

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

~ Syntax in literature is simply how a sentence is worded and placed together. Another example of syntax would be: The dog chased the cat CHANGED TO The cat chased the dog. It is just referring to how your words are put together ~
