OpenStudy (anonymous):

in pea plants purple flowers p_ is dominant to white flowers p_ and tall t_ is dominant to short t_. you have a purple flowered tall plant but you do not know the genotype of this plant. draw out the punnett square if this plant is homozygous

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so homozygous means either PP (purple), pp (white), TT (tall), or tt (short); it cannot be Pp or Tt. Homo means the same; so homozygous = the same zygotes. Therefore, the purple flowered tall plant, since it is homozygous, must be PP and TT (purple and tall). There are multiple punnett squares that you can proceed to draw from this (^) conclusion. Just remember, the offspring MUST be dominant homozygous in BOTH traits. Hope this helps :)
