what does it mean to be a zero of a polynomial? and how is it shown on a graph? Describe a situation that could be modeled by a function and what the zero of that function would mean?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

A zero of a polynomial (or any other function whose graph touches or crosses the x-axis) is an input (x) value for which the polynomial (or function) is zero. The graph of this polynomial (or function) would either touch or cross the x-axis at such x value.
