Just to check some questions
I have a cylindrical tank. With a base area =A and a height=h and a density=r
A. Find an expression of the volume:
pi*(radius)(radius)*h=pi*(a/pi)*h

OpenStudy (osanseviero):
Is that ok?
OpenStudy (xishem):
Yes, but it's redundant. You have base area, A, so just take the base area times the height to get volume (your equation simplifies to this):\[V=A*h\]
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
Ok, thanks
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
How could I find an expressio for weight?
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
Weight is equal to mass times gravity, right?

OpenStudy (xishem):
Yes, that's right.
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
and mass is equal to density times volume
OpenStudy (xishem):
Yep, again.
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
So W=density*A*h*g ?
OpenStudy (xishem):
Yes.

And pressure would be weight/A? So the areas would cancel
OpenStudy (xishem):
Pressure of what?
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
Pressure made by the liquid on the bottom of the tank
OpenStudy (xishem):
OK, so the cylindrical tank is completely filled with water of density r?
OpenStudy (osanseviero):
P=f/a
