4pi/2 = 2pi right?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

\[\frac{4\pi}{2}=\frac{\cancel 2\times2\pi}{\cancel 2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't be confused by the \(\pi\) all arithmetic rules still work \(\frac{\pi}{3}+\frac{\pi}{2}=\frac{5\pi}{6}\) just like \[\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{2}=\frac{5}{6}\]

im using that to this problem, y = csc(1/2x) ... i, trying to figure out the period change.
