Which of the following has a slope of –3 and a y-intercept of –4? A. y = –3x + 4 B. y = –3x – 4 C. y = 3x – 4 D. y = 3x + 4 Is it C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it is b because it is written in slope intercept form y=mx+b and m=slope and b=y-intercept. Did this help?

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

@Kai21 Thanks, but I don't get it, can you explain more..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all the answers are in the slope intercept form y=mx + b, with m being the slope, and b being the y intercept. So, you just plug the slope in for m, the y-intercept for b, and walla, you have the answer y=-3x-4

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

@mrDiqmn I get it a bit more now, thanks!
