How big are viruses? A. Big enough to be seen by the naked eye but smaller than a human egg cell. B. Too small to be seen without the aid of an electron microscope. C. Too small to be seen without the aid of a light microscope. D. Big enough to be seen when cultured like bacteria.

Again, process of elimination works well. Obviously A is not the correct answer - no one has ever seen a virus without aid of a microscope of some sort. The question is about scale. Big stuff you can see with your eyes. Light microscopes are provide the next step in magnification; electron microscopes provide even more magnification. So because viruses are much, much smaller than bacteria...
