Question? http://prntscr.com/28xdhz

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Could you snap the options as well or is it like that only? I can barely see it too :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which of the following is true for all consecutive integer m and n such that m < n ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A m is odd B n is odd C n-m is even D n^2-m^2 is odd E m^2+n^2 is even

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Oh, less than I read greater than. I'd say D. Let me explain,

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Assign the variables m and n a number, because it asks for consecutive integers, or two numbers that are in order. Example: 1,2 or even 40,41 'm' must be less than 'n' so if you assign m=1 and n=2 D: 2^2 - 1^3 = 4-1 = 3 Does that help?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

@LilySwan did you understand it? 3 is odd.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok why did you place 1 ^3 and not 1^2

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Because your option said; n^2-m^2

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

I used 2 for n and 1 for m.

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Understand? I just plugged in values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that i understood im talking about the power for n you chose 2^2 but for m 1^3

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Oh you mean why its being cubed, 2^2 - 1^2 = 4 - 1 = 3. Sorry typo. 1^3 is still 1 :P

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

@LilySwan :D Understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea thanks :)
