How are viruses different from bacteria?
bacteria are living organisms
@MavericksMommy is right but partially...viruses are living or non living is still a ques...so we cannot differentiate on this basis...
bacteria are unicellular microorganism and they are 2 millimeters long and have different shape. But viruses are sub microscopic particle that can infect the cells of a other organism
. Bacteria and virus are infectious agents having different properties • Bacteria are living things whereas viruses cannot live on their own • Bacteria are unicellular organisms whereas viruses have just RNA, DNA and proteins and use this genetic information to multiply in the cells of a host • Most bacteria are beneficial to human beings and only some harm us. On the other hand all viruses are harmful to human beings. • Bacteria can be killed easily using antibiotics whereas anti viral drugs can only slow down reproduction of viruses and cannot destroy them. for more reading http://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-bacteria-and-vs-viruses/ http://www.diffen.com/difference/Bacteria_vs_Virus
Viruses do not contain nuclei but instead contains a host cell which generally controls them while bacteria are on their own containing nuclei .
viruses are only active in the host body. bacteria's are always active in their environment. viruses having less genetic information than a bacteria. viruses having parasitic nature where some bacteria are autotrophic in nature
simple @kylee.carmestro Viruses are not made up of cell while Bacteria are prokaryotic cell. So you can easily differentiate that whatever Prokaryotic cell have virus do no have.
