7 1/2 + 3 1/2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 1/2+3 1/2= 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you tell me how do find the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*did you

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

7 + 3 = 10 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 10 + 1 = 11 So - 7 1/2 + 3 1/2 = 11!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay look at the whole numbers first and ignore the fractions. so 7+3=10 now you have 1/2+1/2=1 10+1=11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh alright! Thank you! mind if I'll ask another problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope go ahead
